Become a mentor for a U of M student!

Become a CFANS Mentor!   With the start of the fall semester we'll be kicking off the 2009-10 College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) Mentor Program at the University of Minnesota.  The college is currently seeking mentors for the upcoming year.   The mentor program runs from November - April.

As a mentor you have the opportunity to:
- Make a difference with a CFANS student
- Introduce a student to your company and/or organization
- Foster the development of future professionals in your field
- Increase your connections with CFANS and the U of M

The mentor program is a great opportunity for students to:
-  Enhance professional skills
-  Network and connect with alumni and professionals
-  Learn more about career opportunities

We are looking for mentors to update and complete online profiles by Friday, October 2.  The mentor application is a brief online form that includes:  contact information, employment and education experiences, along with availability and times to meet with the student.   The student-mentor matches will be completed by the end of October with the program beginning in mid-November.

For more information and to complete an online application visit: http://www.cfans.umn.edu/AlumniFriends/GetInvolved/Mentor/index.htm.  Please contact Darren Lochner, CFANS Alumni Relations, with any questions 612-624-9957 or dlochner@umn.edu.

Please feel free to share this information with other colleagues and friends.

Thank you for considering the CFANS Mentor Program!
